Want to hear a scary stat? A recent global study of 2.4 million people found that being online might improve well-being (said no one after spending any amount of time zombie scrolling Facebook…)

The research published in the journal Technology, Mind and Behaviour, whose authors say it includes more geographic diversity than most previous studies, found that people with internet access scored 8% higher on measures of life satisfaction and contentment with their social life than those without it.

Now here’s the scary part: hat is about the same positive impact people get from taking a walk outside in nature.

So what are we going to do with that information? Lobby for the outdoors to win, of course! Time to put down the phone, folks (of course after you finish reading this newsletter…😉) Now, go find your screen-addicted buddy, slap the phone square out of his hands, and replace it with a gun, fishing rod, hell a spatula for the grill out back will do, and get more butts firmly planted in camp chairs than Lazy-E Boys! We don’t care what any highfalutin scientist says. Screen time is never going to replace the benefits of the great outdoors! But then again, they are the same types that said the COVID vaccine works too…
