INSIDER WEEK: Kimber’s 🔫 Firepower on the BIG Screen 🎬
PLUS: A concert for conservation, custom Marlin 1894 & MORE.
IT’S INSIDER WEEK 🔫
Kimber has become a well-established name in the pantheon of American gunmakers as a premier handgun company that initially made top-of-the-line 1911s that were so very eye-catching. It’s no surprise that Kimber, which has since branched out beyond sexy 1911s to other semi-auto models and revolvers, became a star of the silver screen, both big and small.
The gunmaker has been around since 1979—when it was founded primarily as a rifle company. It started making 1911s in the mid-1990s, and after spec ops teams and S.W.A.T. teams came calling, so did Hollywood armorers.

🎶 CONCERT FOR CONSERVATION

It’s cool to see musicians doing what they can to promote hunting and fishing. However, the most remarkable thing that might have happened in 2024 on that topic could be a bluegrass band becoming a Lifetime Member of Pheasants Forever (PF). Yes, the entire band.
The band’s impact on the Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever mission was marked by a grand concert that kicked off the weekend festivities of the National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic sports show, presented by Federal Ammunition.
💥 CUSTOM MARLIN 1894

“What is a custom gun?” It means something different to each of us, and none of us are wrong. A custom gun doesn’t have to cost $20,000 and it doesn’t have to sit in a safe and never get used. In fact, the guns we tend to cherish the most are the ones we shot with dear old mom or dad and made memories that we hold dear more than the gun.

The storied gunmaker dropped a pile of new handgun models in September, and these offerings will have you reevaluating your shooting-gear budget for the end of 2024, and maybe adding something to your holiday shopping list, too.
🛟 BORESIGHT A RIFLE AND SAVE YOUR AMMO

One of the easiest ways to zero your rifle scope is to first boresight the optic. It won’t be dead-on, but boresighting correctly will save a shooter time and ammunition by preventing the need to walk around a target just to get hits in the sight picture.
🎖️ CHRISTENSEN ARMS MPR COMPETITION RIFLE
4-min read
The Competition model has an improved bolt release and oversized FFT bolt knob. The bolt is nitride-treated as well. Other niceties include AICS magazine compatibility and a straight pistol grip that hits just right. It has a thumb rest as well. Christensen has put a Trigger Tech “Special” flat shoe trigger on board the Competition model and you’re not likely to complain about it.
