🔫 SHOOTING 101: Refine Your Trigger Control

Trigger control applies across various situations—self-defense, hunting, or competitive shooting—and can be practiced anywhere. Master it and you will see noticeable improvements in your shot placement and overall performance. How to apply it:

  • Practice a Smooth Trigger Pull: Focus on pulling the trigger straight back in a controlled, steady motion. Avoid jerking or anticipating the shot.

  • Use Dry Fire Exercises: Unload the firearm that you will be using and ensure that the chamber and any magazines (for semi-autos) or cylinders (revolver) are empty, and the practice area is 100% free from any live ammo. Regularly practice dry-firing your firearms. This way, you can concentrate on your trigger technique without the distraction of recoil.

  • Incorporate Snap Caps: Mix dummy rounds (snap caps) into your live-fire range practice. A great way to help you identify and correct flinching habits, or reacting to an expected recoil that doesn’t come.

Ready to level up your personal defense? Meet the brand new Springfield Armory Kuna 9mm Personal Defense Weapon. The sleek PDW rocks an ambidextrous design, hefty 30-round magazines, and a roller-delayed system for smoother shooting. It’s like an SMG got a modern makeover—compact, powerful, and just under $1K!
